Classes

Sewing is fun when you get the results you want. Our classes are small and feature personalized instruction. You will be encouraged to do your best while enjoying successful experiences. Because each student cuts and sews at a different rate, and most projects take more than class time, please expect some work will need to be done at home between classes.

Before signing up for classes, please check your schedule and read our class policies carefully. To be fair to our teachers and other students we must remain firm in our registration and cancellation policies.

CLASS POLICIES

• Full Payment of class fees due at time of registration to guarantee a place in the class. Phone registration is available with Visa or MasterCard.  Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class start. Minimum number of students is usually four, maximums vary by class.  Sawyers  reserves the right to cancel 48 hours prior to any class if participation level is below minimum.  Sawyers will issue a full refund for any class we cancel.  There is a different cancellation policy for “travelling guest teachers” where there are travel and flights booked well in advance of the class date.  Cancellation notice must be made 30 days in advance of the class start date with a non-refundable $50.00 fee.  After the 30-day cancellation has expired there will be no refund given.  We will endeavor to find a replacement for your spot in the class, however, we must remain firm in our registration and cancellation policies.  Because these classes are booked so far in advance, it is imperative that personal schedules be checked by each student before the 30-day cancellation date.
  
  
  • Please pick up a supply list at time of registration or have it emailed.
  • Purchase supplies prior to attending classes.                   
  • Those registered for a class receive a 15% discount on any class supplies we carry.
  • Please mark all tools and supplies. Sawyers is not responsible for lost or stolen items. 
    
    
        *Please refrain from wearing perfumes in consideration of fellow classmates with allergies 
  
   To avoid disappointment please call soon to register. We do keep waitlists on many of our classes as they often fill quickly. We will call those waitlisted students first before posting our classes to our website for the public.
  
  
  
  

 

Cozy Caps 2025

VOLUNTEERS WANTED Cozy Capz 2025 **NOTE NEW DATES **

Volunteers have gathered at Sawyers for many years to sew hats for cancer patients undergoing chemo. Fabrics and time have been donated to sew these items and are very much appreciated by recipients at the Victoria Cancer Clinic. We have the patterns and many donated fabrics available to carry on this great work. Our next sewing day will be September 19, 2025 From 930-1230. Fall dates are scheduled as follows September 19, October 17,November 21, 2025. If you can volunteer for this or any future dates.
