This course is designed for a beginner quilter. You will learn how to make two different blocks and combine to make a quilt top. You will learn how to safely use a rotary cutter, sew an accurate ¼ inch seam and assemble your quilt top. You will then learn how to sandwich the quilt with batting and backing fabric and baste in preparation for quilting and binding. We have allowed plenty of class time so that you will have a completed quilt at the end of the eighteen hour course. Finished quilt size is 42” X 54” A great comfy lap sized quilt or baby quilt. Many new quilters get overwhelmed when going to purchase fabrics for their first quilt. We have included a one hour introduction class to help clarify and discuss the patterns and fabric choosing prior to buying fabrics and starting the actual cutting and sewing. Whether you have fabrics or ideas this first one hour class should be helpful in your quilt planning and get you started on the right foot. A completed quilt sample in the store now to see and take pics if helpful.
