The artista 630 is a highly developed sewing computer with a comprehensive

The artista 630 and 640 are related to the aurora models in terms
of their technical capabilities and design. It is the modern design
of these innovative sewing and embroidery systems that first attracts
the eye. The large colour touchscreen and multifunction buttons
are reminiscent of their big sister, the artista 730. These models
offer unique features with many timesaving components and functions.
The BERNINA stitch regulator is a true world first. The presser
foot with the three different soles guarantees a more even stitch
length with variable sewing speeds, making free-hand quilting
fantastically simple.
A real BERNINA highlight: The knee-operated
lifter lets you raise the presser foot and lower the feed dogs
at the same time, leaving your hands free to guide the fabric.
The new BERNINA artista 730 comes
with the BERNINA USB memory stick – including a wealth of
embroidery designs! – for
exchanging data between your embroidery computer and PC.
Sewing and embroidery made especially easy: The multifunction buttons
let you adjust stitch length and width. In the embroidery area
you can infinitely scale, position and rotate designs, as well
as working with them in the tutorial. With the new user interface,
all settings are instantly visible.
Stepless control of presser-foot pressure lets you optimize the
even fabric feed. This helps you achieve the perfect seam with
all thicknesses of fabric, from coarse to delicate.
The built-in BERNINA sewing light illuminates the sewing area around
the needle with bright-as-day, shadow-free light.
A stroke of genius: Security Program, brightness and colour of
the touchscreen can be adjusted to your own personal needs.
The speed-adjustable winding device helps you save time: with the
artista you can wind on bobbins as you sew, embroider or quilt,
without having to interrupt your work. Winding speed can be adjusted
via the multifunction buttons or the touchscreen.
Ideal: The start/stop button and the speed control: two enormously
useful features. Now you can sew without a foot control – a
real help with long seams and quilting work. The speed control
lets you adjust sewing speed to your personal requirements.
The stitch animation lets you follow each sewing process stitch
by stitch on the colour screen, and the pattern end is also indicated.
The artista 640 has a choice of 90 stock designs, including floral,
quilting and children’s designs. The ability to freely
combine and edit designs and alphabets on-screen will give your
creativity wings!
The touchscreen displays all the vital information in each menu:
stitch width and length, presser-foot pressure, feed-dogs and
needle position. Animations in the user interface enable easy
and intuitive operation. allows you to customize many designs
before commencing embroidery, for example enlarge or mirror designs,
add letters, change colours or
combine designs. Thanks to the embroidery software also integrated (embroidery
control on personal computer), you can follow the embroidery operation
