BSR – BERNINA Stitch Regulator:
Introducing the sensational world-first that makes freemotion quilting easy: the BERNINA Stitch Regulator, or BSR for short. This presser foot ensures uniform stitch length, even at variable sewing speeds. The highlight of the 730’s presser foot: the BSR foot can even sew zigzag stitches.

Large colour touchscreen:
The touchscreen displays all the vital information in each menu: stitch width and length, feed-dog and needle position. Animations in the user interface enable the intuitive operation of the machine.

Multifunction buttons:
Sewing and embroidery made easy: The multifunction buttons let you adjust stitch length and width. In the embroidery area you can infinitely scale, position and rotate designs, as well as working with them in the tutorial.

Stock embroidery designs:
The artista 730 offers a choice of over 100 embroidery designs, including floral, quilting and children’s designs. The ability to freely combine and edit designs and alphabets on-screen will give your creativity wings!

CFL sewing light:
The built-in BERNINA sewing light illuminates the sewing area round the needle with bright-as-day, shadow-free light.

Thread cutter:
With the artista 730, the thread end is automatically cut off after you finish embroidering a colour in a design. Needle and bobbin thread can also be cut simultaneously at the press of a button in the sewing, darning and quilting modes.

FHS Free-Hand System:
A real BERNINA highlight: The knee-operated lifter lets you raise the presser foot and lower the feed dogs at the same time, leaving your hands free to guide the fabric.

Favourite Function button:
The Favourite Function button is freely programmable for your most frequently used function, and can also be called up via the touchscreen.

Internet portal:
The artista 730 is the world’s only sewing computer to use the intuitively operable Microsoft® Windows® as its operating system. The optionally available modem lets you download designs directly from the artista Internet portal.

Infinitely adjustable presser-foot pressure:
Stepless control of presser-foot pressure lets you optimize and just the even fabric feed. This helps you achieve the perfect seam with all thicknesses of fabric, from coarse to delicate.

Separate winder motor :
The winding device helps you save time: with the artista 730 you can wind on bobbins as you sew, embroider or quilt, without having to interrupt your work. Also useful is the robust, multifunctional metal spool holder.

Embroidery module:
This easy-to-attach embroidery module gives you access to the wonderful world of embroidery. The generous embroidery area affords you enough space to turn your ideas into reality.

USB port and USB memory stick:
The new BERNINA artista 730 comes with the BERNINA USB memory stick – including a wealth of embroidery designs! – for exchanging data between your embroidery computer and PC.

Matching bag (optional):
